Backstory - I have owned two Razer Blade Pros, a Razer Blade, two different Razer mice, and a Razer keyboard. So, I am a Razer fan. I am writing this because I really want to see a Razer Blade Pro I can keep using, rather than getting frustrated with and selling. I am not attempting to tear Razer down with this post. I really am asking them to just do a bit of a better job with future laptops.

I just sold my most recent Razer Blade Pro and it was totally depressing to have to do so - but in the end the Razer Blade Pro is flawed in key respects that make it fail as a laptop, gaming or not. And the crazy thing is that 95% of the Razer Blade Pro is top of the field, bar none, IMO. But, this last 5% is so terribly, awfully bad it ruins what otherwise is so amazing a piece of work.

The problem is the keyboard and trackpad ergonomics. This is a laptop, so they should work.

    1. Razer built the best trackpad I have ever used in the Razer Blade Pro - It tracks better, clicks better, and is totally smooth as compared to even a MacBook Pro. And I love the volume button above it. But... The trackpad is on the right. I am right handed, but after extended use as a laptop it begins to annoy.

Request : Move this trackpad, perhaps making a bit smaller to fit, in front of the keyboard where it belongs.

    2. The keyboard, the keyboard, the keyboard - Never has something so good been so bad. I love the look and the feel, but I can't type on this keyboard without making tons of mistakes. Is it the key travel or maybe the keys are slightly closer together than an average keyboard? I don't know but it is singularly worse than any other keyboard at doing the basic thing a keyboard should do which is to provide an adequate typing mechanism.

Request : Put a different keyboard in the next RBP. Wherever you obtained this from, go with a different supplier as it is just horrible.

Again - I am a huge Razer fan. I am really hoping this note makes an impact because I really want to see Razer release the next Razer Blade Pro with these issues fixed. I'll be the first to buy it.

I thought you’ll point more factors on this model, 4K one right (guessing from “click better” )?
The look is great, I must admit it. I tried once on gamescom last summer and I like the keyboard and trackpad though, so I think it’s personal matter. Anyway good to hear there’s a user who give 95% from it is top of field, bad 5% go to keyboard and trackpad, I would personally give those 5% to power adapter and cooling system.
