So ive been using the Mamba for quite a while now and I think I know what its like to be in love :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Anyways as a hardcore razer fan I quite often browse the RazerZone gazing at everything and i recently noticed the DeathAdder, It looks pretty much identical to the Mamba but is missing the wired/wireless but has the triple headed snake on the back. So what are the differences of these two and why does the DeathAdder seem much more popular than the Mamba?

    The differences are:
DA has a glowing THS on the palm, the mamba doesn't (for less battery usage), the mamba has 2 more buttons, the mamba has *slightly* different ergonomics (where the thumb and pinky go), the mamba (obviously) has dual wired/wireless modes, and the DA had (the 3.5G one does, but beyond that, it has been taken away [2013 and chroma don't have this]) a profile switching button on the bottom.

To keep it simple, Mamba is just a wireless Deathadder. But the new Deathadder Chroma is featuring 10k dpi which Mamba is 6400 dpi only.

Plus, the Chroma lighting on the DeathAdder Chroma also allows inter-device color synchronization between your Chroma devices via Razer Synapse. ;)

So no real reason to not buy another Mamba over the Deathadder. I have to admit the chroma is cool but  the mamba already has it :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: well beside the THS on the back. Plus the Mamba has wireless which is really convenient sometimes.

@Razer|Chrono , will there be a RAZER Mamba Chroma, Just so we can sync it to other Chroma enabled devices? And will it have updated ergonomics? more like the DA?

@SteeleGamer97 Why would they change the Mamba's ergonomics to be more in line with those of the DA's, then they would have pretty much a DA clone no? Also I am in love with the Mambas ergo's, its like a perfect fit in my hands.

Well I was hoping, because i would like a wireless DA, but the only option is the Mamba, and the grips on the side where it goes in are annoying. I've never used a mamba, but I've used a mouse just like it.

Isn't the Mamba and Deathadder both in same shape and size? No?

I would be afraid to "upgrade". I have had a Lachesis ever since it came out, and don't want to change (until it dies) lol ...... I would stay wired in my own opinion...less chance of forgetting to charge the thing :)

Totally agree. I owned an Ouroboros before. Change to Deathadder due to always died half way in game. lol

Let me make sure I'm understanding this correctly...

If I've got Razer devices and running Synapse 2.0, the Chroma device will either allow for me to alter the colors in use or will sync to match my other Razer peripherals exactly? If that's so, I will be one of the first in line for a Tantalus or Orbweaver Chroma. I love my Nostromo and its blue color that mates with all my other gear, but I could use a few more buttons.

I asked in another thread about what the plans were for Chroma and how far it would spread across the Razer line. Feel free to answer that here:

OP: Sorry for a slight thread jack. o_O

Yes you can alter the colors in use on that Chroma device. And you also can sync to match the color to other Chroma devices. ;)

I'm aware that the colors can be altered to whatever I wish on the aforementioned Chroma device but they can only be synched with other Chroma devices, correct (for precise color matching)? The Chromas can't match/synch up with non-Chroma devices (such as my DA 3.5, Nostromo, and BWU 2012) for color matching, right? Matching the Chroma to non-Chroma is going to require fiddling with the color palette on my part, I would imagine. Do you know, by chance, what the precise color is for the older devices that are blue in color? I don't really have any need or want for any color outside of blue, but I do like the option should I feel like getting silly.

    Thanks for the reply. :)

Yes, you are right. The Chromas can't match/ sync up with non-Chroma devices. And no... I don't know the color code... Sorry :slightly_sad::slightly_sad::slightly_sad::confused:

What we really need is a Deathstalker Chroma, and an option for the "wave" lighting to slow down a bit.
