So, how many of you have tried the beta for Destiny 2 on PC? If you have then did you like it? How do you feel it compares to the console versions? Lastly, if you're planning on playing in the future what system are you going to choose?

For myself, I've enjoyed the beta quite a bit. However, I never did play on console so I feel like I have had a far bigger learning curve than many of the others in game. I still needed to learn the HUD and the UI in addition to figuring out new things about the game itself. So, I'm glad to have had the short beta period to get settled in a little bit. It sounds like I'll be playing in the future with family and friends on PC, so I have a lot of learning to do but I think it'll be a lot of fun!

I'm curious how others feel about it though ...

Beta is available for public? Or it requires some invitation or voucher code?

//EDIT: Ah... found info on destiny 2 website: August 29-31 beta open to all pc players. I'll should give it a try :)

Why don't you like it? Is it because you like playing minecraft better?;)

I voted PS4 just cause I wanted to vote. Games like this don't appeal to me.

Tested it, never playing this again. Not my type of constantly-jumping-shooter game in futuristic environment.
But I tested it. Too bad, the intro was funny!

I opened the battlenet client and wanted to play some Overwatch, and everywhere there was just this "open beta" text looking at me, so I just thought since it's free right now why not.
I have to say I really enjoyed the game, I only played the start and some quick matches, and since I'm not used for guns to have scopes on them it really took me some time to figure everything out.
One thing that bugs me is the fact that in quick play, whenever I hit an enemy their life doesn't seem to go down, and then suddenly it just drops to zero, which really surprised me at the beginning.
Other than that, for everyone that has 60€ and wants to play a well made game, that's probably lots of fun once you can actually play it, I rate it 8/10!

I've tried it but it's just another ok game, nothing really good or different to say "I really need this game"

I just don´t like this game... it doesn´t give me any motivation to play it :/

Well this was only the beta. In the full game you will have to level your character, level your subclasses, find new weapons and armor, embark on quests, complete a campaign, continue to search for amazing weapons and armor, explore new planets. There is a lot of motivation in the full game, not really the beta since it was only like 3 or 4 activities total.

I played the open beta on PC which was definitely beautiful especially the beginning, but within the first hour I felt it
was kinda of a drag and repetitive, the competitive didn't feel that competitive and the game felt too easy for me...I
really don't want to spend 60 bucks on a game (Never have) and it end up being one of the "player base reaches new heights, but gradually decreases like some of the games I've seen with multiplayer and hoping it wont be the case for Battlefront 2). Now this is my opinion about the beta. I don't know what's fully in store for Destiny 2, I just don't feel like it's my kind of game

You know they ditched the idea of Cross Saves and Cross Platform play though, right? Everything I'm reading right now says that if you buy it on both platforms then you'll have to use two completely different characters on each platform. So, if you're cool leveling up completely different characters, then hey, I say go for it!! :)

I'm just happy that my friends / family who previously played on PS4 are moving to PC so that we can all be together.

I kind of felt the same way after a while, but more than anything I'm looking forward to the campaign and the PvE stuff that will be available in the full game. Also, after watching family play Destiny 1 I'm glad that I'll be able to get to know the NPC's myself this time. I think from my experience so far Cayde (voiced by Nathan Fillion) is going to be an easy favorite. :big_grin_:

Yup I know everything about destiny. Its been my main game for the past 3 years and I have thousands of hours into it and I research the new stuff every day :) It does suck that they arent going to have cross saves and cross play, but I play the game enough where its worth picking up copies on both to play with both sets of friends. Plus it comes out 2 months sooner on console, I cant be missing out for 2 months on my favorite game lol. Thats sweet that all your friends are moving to PC, I wish all my friends would be on one platform, that would make it better so i wouldnt have to grind out twice. oh well :)

Oh wow, that's awesome!! I never did play the first Destiny, because I am very much NOT a console gamer. LOL
Every since the controllers became more complicated than the NES controller I grew up I've had issues with camera control and movement at the same time. *laughs*

I'm just fortunate that all of my family and friends who played Destiny on the console are equally as big into PC gaming, if not more so, and they didn't find it inconvenient at all to switch. Though, a few of them might still do both PS4 and PC in the beginning just so they don't miss out for the first 6 weeks or so.

However, since I didn't play the first one I feel like I have a LOT of catching up to do!! I feel way behind when it comes to learning the UI and HUD - the shooter basics I've got down, but the intricacies of the game itself I'll need to learn through the campaign mode before I feel really comfortable understanding my character. So, I'm hoping that Bungie doesn't just assume everyone joining Destiny 2 will be former Destiny 1 players and they'll still give a really good tutorial on everything from the armor to the weapons to the skills and everything in-between.

Have fun playing, maybe some day we'll even cross paths. :)
