Would you like "Wave lighting effect" on more Razer devices?

  1. I would love to

  2. It doesn't matter to me

Hi guys, I just bought the Razer Blackwidow Chroma V2 and I freaking loved the "Wave lighting option" but now I want it on my Razer Kraken 7.1 V2 and my Razer Naga Chroma Epic.
I want to know, why if both Kraken and Naga have the "Spectrum cycling" option and the "Breathing" option, they don't have the "wave" option?
Could they have it in the future? or do they need something more of hardware?

It’s because there isn’t really a way to make it work like a wave without making it look a bit weird. The closest I think they’d get to a wave effect is a continuous rippling of colours, but even that’d look weird considering how the THS logo looks.

Too small amount of LEDs, so Wave effect won't work on Krakens for example. It will still look like Spectrum cycling.

The Kraken and the Naga don't have a larger lightning system inside or a circular one i'd say like the keyboard so at the moment it is difficult to implement it into them. If you want more wave lightning effects get the Base Station Chroma for headphones which comes with the wave effect, or the Firefly, or the HDK Chroma and use it as you will. As for the non wave effect devices i recommend you share your idea to others and to Min and maybe they'll see it through in the future.

Each Razer product has it's own lighting options. These options are sometimes determined by limitations, sometimes not. My ornata has a `fire` mode which basically makes the LEDs look like they are a fireplace. The original blackwidow chroma doesn't have this even though theoretically it can. I would say that these devices can have a wave effect. Whether Razer implements the wave in your products or not, we don't have much control over it.

IMO, Razer can implement the wave effect similar to the THS logo in BlackWidow v2 Chroma. It's like spectrum cycling with increased cycling speed.

What he said. They have the wave option for the Mamba 16000 wireless docking base, and it looks ridiculous. Can barely even tell that it's color changing, looks like it's switching between 3 different colors. Looks terrible imo.

So, now I got a new doubt:

Why can't we decide the speed of some effects?

With the Blackwidow Chroma V2 we can't choose the speed of Wave effect or even so with Naga Epic Chroma or Kraken 7.1 v2 with the Spectrum Cycling effect.
I would love to see a slower wave effect and a faster Spectrum cycling effect.

You can do both on the BWV2 :)

Actually you can configure the wave speed in Chroma Configurator

You can only configure the speed of Spectrum Cycling in Synapse 3.

really? but as far as i know, Synapse 3 works just for some devices, isn't it?
do you know if Naga Epic Chroma and Kraken 7.1 v2 are supported?

Sadly there is no options available for the Spectrum Cycling effect in Synapse 2.
They aren't supported as of now, but they will be in the future.
