    Dear all,
just received my laptop, and installed my linux distribution.
First, there is no official release on NVIDIA for the SUPER model, only the 2080.
Plug HDMI monitor, not detected. Unable to switch to external screen.

    Any Idea ?
Linux Fedora 32 fresh install with NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-440.82.run.

You need to install optimus-manager first.

Issue is that unlike windows, NVIDIA drivers for Linux do not support something called PRIME offloading yet, which allows your second screen that's hardwired to the Nvidia GPU to be useable whilst the Intel HD card is the primary display.

Optimus manager solves this by letting you choose the Nvidia card at startup as the default GPU. Yes this will increase power draw as the Nvidia card is always on, but you can just as easily select intel only mode for when you are not using the second monitor, and battery life is important.
