Okay so I ordered my razer blade stealth 256g QHD last night, how,do I redeem the $100 coupon code for the razer blade stealth? Thanks :) ( ps. I have gotten an order submission, but no order conformation. Is the code supposed to come with the order conformation? )

The code will be on your order status page

I can't check the order status for the stealth directly, only by veiwing it through the order of the sleeve. I ordered a neoprene sleeve just minutes after the stealth so they're two different shipments and bills. If I go into my email I have an email submission for the stealth and the sleeve, but only a conformation for the sleeve. I can check the ordered status of the stealth by veiwing my order history, but no code. I guess I'll wait to get an order confirmation and see if it's there!

Scroll down and click view all orders. It's a glitch in their website that only shows you the latest order.

Yeah, I'm looking at my stealth order by clicking 'veiw all orders' but it shows no code

Weird. It should be a line item underneath the laptop. That's how mine is.

Maybe they have to process the order manually due to being large amount of money? If so, it is weekend.

    Hey guys,

Got my Core past Friday, but didn't get to use it until today due to having an MSI R9 390, which didn't fit, so I had to go buy an XFX r9 390 instead.

I followed instructions on Razer's website, and it works perfectly. No disabling Wifi and whatnot was necessary.

I did have to manually update the driver/install HDMI Audio Driver to get monitor's built in speaker to work correctly, but that was offered once I pressed check for update in the AMD software.

I know there's been a lot more ppl with Nvidia stuff, so lmk if u have questions about Core and AMD card.

Im glad to hear this, youre right it doesn't seem like many people were going with AMD. I have a new white Asus R9 Nano. Still waiting to buy the Core. I'm giving it until the beginning of this week before I give up on it. So hopefully it does, because this made me feel a lot more comfortable. If you dont mind- I may convo you when I get it, if I run into snags. this is really my first setup for gaming, and im not that experienced. Good to hear, and thanks for sharing!

I was kind of half afraid that AMD wouldn't work as well, as their software is usually thought of as subpar, but looks like that XConnect really is something. Also, with Nvidia, I've seen some ppl recommend getting driver from Razer, but for AMD, it looks like the one from Razer contains XConnect stuff, as it is labeled as custom AMD driver with XConnect or whatnot as file name.

Anyway, it works, and what's more, it works well to the point where I could just unplug and plug without having to restart at all.

I suppose one thing is R9 390s run kinda hot, so fan on GPU is kinda loud but... meh.

Yeah def hmu if u got any q's or anything. Hopefully I'll be able to help.

Personally, still having issues with the USB 3.0 controller (keyboard/mouse locking up/freezing). But in terms of the RBS reliably detecting the Core: originally I had a lot of issues. I would restart my RBS a bunch of times, re-seat the cables, and probably work like 20% of the time. I then tried to re-seat the GPU itself, and ever since that I had no issues. Looking up how the Core actually works, my guess is, most of the issues is stemming from that the Core does not operate if the magnetic internal switch does not detect it is seated correctly. Reason why fiddling with the cables work sometimes is probably inadvertently shifting the entire chassis around.

So at this point, the Core works great minus the USB controller. Right now I am just using a separate USB hub to get around it hoping it is just a TB3 driver issue. Not sure when I'll eventually get tired of it and actually submit a ticket for it.

Yea, though it would be nice to have the USB functionality working so you don't have to plug/unplug things as much, I think I'll be able to make due (do?) for a while by plugging into the laptop USB ports to make sure everything is working right. A fix at some point would be most welcome, though, even if it means a tiny throttle on the communication with the card in order to make sure the USB devices have bandwidth to communicate (gaming, I'd rather lose a frame or two than have my controls lock up).

Wait, so both of you guys are have the same issue with the Core's usb ports??? Anyone else?

I waiting on getting separate USB 3.0 hub, plugging that into the Core, and seeing if that helps. I never had issues with the actual gigabit port (which is a USB 3.0 chip), my guess is it's the USB hub's 2.0 mode.

For those that don't know, a "SuperSpeed" hub can only do "SuperSpeed". So to do USB 1.x/2.x, the physical hub needs to act as 2 separate hubs and electrically switch. Since the mouse/keyboard acts up but not the gigabit port, my guess is that it's a problem with the hub firmware in 2.x mode. If this is the case, my guess of using a 3rd party USB 3.x hub through the Core (so RBS -> Core via TB3 -> 3rd party USB 3.x hub -> devices) should work (and allow us to still use a single cable to charge/plug everything in). This logic would retain "SuperSpeed" for the Core's hub controller, and only switch to 1.x/2.x at the terminal end.

I'll follow up how this goes.

I'm still waiting to order my Core, but I have seen a number of reports of USB input devices stuttering or locking up sometimes when plugged in through the Core. Some people thought maybe it was a Thunderbolt bandwidth issue while gaming, but Kaho's description above makes me think that may not be the case.

Kaho, please let us know if that proves to be a successful workaround for you. =)
