  1. Well f*ck

My laptop was stuck booting into "diagnosing your PC", so I started the recovery mode thinking it would help me "Recover" my laptop.

Sure it fixed my laptop which I'm happy about. BUT IT F*CKING DELETED EVERY FILE OFF MY SYSTEM.
Like it could've said "We boutta erase all your files, do you accept?", in which case I would've tried a couple other things before resorting to that. I did have a little (restore OS partition to default), but it didn't let me choose otherwise and continued recovering.

On my behalf, I hadn't backed up my PC so that was a bit stupid by me, and I probably should've researched what recovery mode does.

Anyways, moral of the story is - Back up your data and don't use the recovery mode unless you have to. And I think razer need to make it a bit more clear what the recovery mode does.

P.S - If I'm wrong about anything, correct me please. And if there's some "Restore files" function please help us out

  2. I actually used Restore Mode for my Razer Blade Pro as well, I experienced Windows Update Failure, Windows is non-stop looping, I have no choice but to use Restore Mode, you should use it as last resort when your laptop is not functioning properly as what it did is it will revert your laptop to the point where it was first turned on.

Sorry to hear your lose. In every laptops Recovery, I think recovery like your did means recovering to factory setting. Yes I’m agree that should poped out the warning, I did once or twice Recovery on Blade I think somewhere it stated (not poped up) that it would delete all existing file, I think.
There’s also manually restores point, in windows that could be created manually idk on latest windows version before Creator it always creates restore points automatically after that we have to manually create it and sometimes even bugged (failed to restore). That’s why I’m now always putting important file on external HDD, that separated from main system to avoid data losing.

  4. Oh boy do I wish I did that
