I like any rewards we can get. I have lurked on here for years and own a lycosa Keyboard for 7 years and Mamba wireless mouse. So I hope to get lucky on the CES upcoming sale to get a Chroma Blackwidow! But from what I seen the new reward gives you a small discount when you buy a few items

I mean, Depending on how the ZVault and Insider will work it may be for the better. It all depends if they will give us a equal amount of ZSilver from posting on insider. If they only give us say 500 per 50 posts or something, I would not enjoy it that much. If they do it right, I feel like it will work good.

What's your ish? Instead of earning post counts, it looks like we'll be earning zSilver, which can be traded for discounts or gear, sometimes without actually having to buy anything. Just gotta wait and see HOW we can earn that zSilver.

Seeing as stuff is around 160K for he max, I would hope that each post on the forum that passes some sort of curriculum gets like 300-500 zsilver or something along those lines. It'll have to be a big number to make it worthwhile, ya don't want it being like the top prize at an arcade that no one can get.

I think people are getting -too- hung up on rewards. If they make it too good of rewards progression then people are going to swarm Razer Insider and quality of content and feedback will go down because people are going to flock to get the extra rewards (more so than now)

It should be as they've stated rewarding those who put in the effort to be and stay active in the community and offer constructive and positive feedback to better razer as a whole. If say its 50,000+ for an actual free item. Then it should be something a very active person may get once every 2 years or so worth of content. 10-25 zSilver per post, and an additional 10-20 zSilver per like on that post sounds like a good idea. Maybe instead of trophies for a milestone you get a larger chunk of zSilver. So someone that now has all the trophies may get a big bump of 5-15,000 zSilver just for the 'milestones' plus the rewards for the posts and likes themselves. Maybe a like from official staff gets you extra, or have little zSilver giveaways for minor stuff/contests on the forums.

You dont want to make it too easy to get the rewards but equally dont want to make it too hard that you loose interest all together. Its a fine line, a distinct balance.

I'm just wondering if they are going to cash in our posts for silver or if we will be starting from scratch.

If I f could have a guess, Something tells me we are going to be able to bank in the posts we have already. But you do never know, Since they may reset the rewards post count. I doubt they will reset the whole forum.

They may not be counting 'posts' for rewards. It may be based on likes, or a whole new system. Who knows?

Up vote in reddit is quite good, if u get to the top, you'll get like ~ 1 zsilver.

have you linked your account to razer zvault yet?
Well i guess that this system may work, still keeping in mind that we dont know much, but i just dont like systems where you have to complete things in order to be rewarded with something that doesnt seem equal to the time spent trying to achieve it- for example those mobile games where you have to watch a 2min video for an extra Crystal or something. So if the new rewards work by posting (useful) content that earns you little zsilver than it isnt worth it imo- Do you agree?
I agree completely-its a tough call to make and unfortunately not everyone will be pleased, and the last thing we want is for the rewards to be too easy to get so the forums are flooded with people who arnt interested in helping and just want the rewards

Its okay dude-Razer is taking their time with this which is good so that can get it just right-im sure itll be worth it in the end.

It may not work out very well if it is based on likes ,Since people may get there friends or make other accounts to like all of there posts. Still very interested in to see what it will be based on though.

Would be cool to see it based on a lot of things. Not just posts or likes, but both, as well as how helpful your posts are, do you post multiple times in a single thread, do you quote people frequently. Some algorithm that would help show that you are contributing to threads and trying to be helpful, and not just posting to get posts so you get free stuff.

Maybe they're watching all of our comments and going, "Ok, let's take THAT feature out, let's take THIS feature out . . ."

    Maybe that's what's taking so long. :)

Hopefully thats the case-plus it would be cool if Razer took inspiration from comments on my thread ;)

Guys, do you think that they will settle for one purchase of a product on sale per person? I mean it seam likely as they want everyone to have a chance at buying something instead of all stock running out within the first hour?

Wow surprised to see this thread is still going strong. Hah.
Hmmmm I don't know about that one. "Likes" are subjective in nature and can be easily abused. I tend to think they are less useful in a system that should be based on objective criteria. For example, someone can write a lengthy informative response to answer someone's question and get 1 like in return, while another user can post a dank meme and get 100 likes. I don't think the likes counter would accurately reflect contribution in cases like that.

This is coming from a person with over 1K likes who would benefit like crazy from a system based on likes, so I'm clearly not being biased.
I agree with Katana. I think this is probably the best way to solve the problem. An algorithm that takes into account many different factors while applying appropriate weighting.

With that said, the current zCurrency system doesn't benefit me much at all. I assume other console gamers feel the same way.

Yeah me too-when i saw it i thought hmm, this looks like an interesting and potential new way to treat rewards then when i saw how much zsilver and zgold you needed to actually get somewhere-i thought maybe not then. I'll stick to G2A and my local Game store
