I'm surprised you've stuck by it for so long. Did you ever consider upgrading?

I have to say that this was my worry with them as well as the V1 were advertised as 'hammering the bass' but i was very surprised! A nice balanced sound with the bass just owning the experience by a margin. What phone have you got?

I have an iPhone 6 and a Moto G. But yeah, im mostly just interested in getting a balanced sound, bass only helps if it doesnt get muddy.

That's almost the only reason why I bought Kraken 7.1 v1's and v2's lol. Though unfortunately the v2's have so much less bass than v1's. At least they are better in every other aspect.

Yeah I just hope the Hammerhead's have a similar sound stage to the Kraken v2.

i alter my sound EQ from the the setting on my iPhone and that helps me find the best sound profile to listen to no matter what headphones im using. The bass doesnt overthrow the rest of the sound dont worry there.
yeah i noticed that the V2s lacked the bass that the V1s had-do you know why this is?

I tried to do that with the Kraken Mobile I had but that made 0 difference to the bass. I could only increase treble and that just made the sound tinny.

@DieselLag in v1's I could put 100% volume and bass boost, and it was still nice bass and clear sound, with v2's its max like 80% volume with 20% boost, more than that and it's crackly/distorted as hell.

It's possible that it's due to the larger magnets (40mm vs 50mm), however I don't think so. Probably just the difference in their overall build (not sure if the overly done bass on v1's was accidental or a feature, but I loved it).

After my v1's broke, I tried 3 pairs of Steelseries headsets, Kingston Hyper X Cloud's, and a few more 100-200eur ones, and none had the nice bass the v1's had, though they may have been better in overall sound quality.

To be honest I am dissapointed in the v2's, but the other aspects of the headset are so much better than v1's so, not replacing them back to v1's, though tempted.

Hmm have you tried the adaro stereos? There the headphones i use when do long distance traveling.
Interesting i was let down by them as well, although they do have features that the V1s didnt have like the 3mm jack for use on phones or the metal frame

Not sure if I am misunderstanding, but 3.5mm on v2's ? I wish. (I meant 7.1's in my previous post).

The Kraken Pro V2-it is a 3.3mm audio pin but uses a slitter for mic and sound when used for pc listening?

Insider? My 4th DA mouse, current is breaking down fairly fast.

zSilver, either another 7.1 v2's for my gf (replacing Kraken Pros'), or a Mug.

It is still working just fine :) No need to upgrade for chroma, and I dislike the Naga type of mouses. I was thinking to get a Mamba at some point, but couldn't justify the costs :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Even saw some people selling the same one I still have for a good price sealed.

But a rewards new DA is ofcourse even more awesome!

Well if it helps i recently moved from DA chroma to Mamba TE-i could tell you my experience if youd like?

Thanks for the offer ;) My guess was they are roughly the same, except for the wireless part, and the price. I'll probably go with a DA because of the last reason.

The TE is wired and only £20 more than the DAE and is worth it-also taking in that you could reach 500 posts and get both?

My bad, missed the TE part. So what did you find different between DAC and Mamba TE?

  20. The rewards currently look quite interesting, especially for 500 posts.
