[Status update] Blade 2016 shipment

    Woot! I'm excited to see what the reviews have to say, especially about battery life. I haven't bought one yet, but it's basically my dream laptop if it can get 6+ hours on a light workload. I can't really justify it though. Nor do I have the proper funding yet.

    No one has the answer but Nvidia. We should know more at Computex in a few weeks. The rumor is that they will even have laptops on the floor with Pascal-M, but it's only a rumour until we actually see it ...
     
  3. FYI- emailed Support today and received a (timely) reply...
    The mid-May date applies to orders placed NOW, not older pre-orders like many of us have. (Mine was placed on 3/16, originally showed 4/14, currently 4/25.) So- no second delay, just a supply-and-demand thing. Happens.
    Telling self: patience, young Jedi... Patience.

    The Razer Core release date on the marketing/store page has changed from "April 25th" to "register your interest". LOL

    Nah, after the Blade delay The Core availability date moved from April 15th to April 25th. It happened near the same time the marketing page date for the Blade changed. Somewhere in this thread back on page 19-20 is a link to another thread talking about the Razer Core(some poor Blade Stealth customer who put the pre-order for the Core on the same order as the Blade Stealth) delay being moved back to April 25th as a data point.

    My earlier point in the original Blade Delay thread regarding the Core delay being aligned with the Blade delay and it being an Intel update causing the Blade delay is that this has got to be associated with the Thunderbolt3 chipset because Razer's decided to delay both and that's the only interface delivered by Intel between the two. If I were a New Blade Stealth owner waiting for the Core I'd be asking "What fix does my Blade Stealth need to work with the Core?"

    What I was replying to was the fact that they removed the ship date, and made it a "register your intrest"

    Its not even at the pre-order stage anymore.

    I'll be a little more direct. You said you thought the Core ship date message changed "months ago" implying at least 2 months ago. You are wrong, the ship date changed to 4/25 when they updated the Razer Blade page(around 4/1). They changed the Core ship date to "register your interest" within the last week.

    All the other reading and links I made you guys endure was to explain why you were wrong to avoid sounding terse. Apologies...

    Cheers, and I'm still looking forward to my Blade being delivered even though the PR mess is frustrating.

    You already posted it, but I wanted to reiterate it, I also posted this on the other thread with the exact same comment.

    The product page is the absolute worst place to look for updates on existing orders. The product pages are directed towards people who have never ordered and are considering doing so. It gives them an approximate date as to when they could expect their product to ship. For people with existing orders your best information will always be on your order page or by contact support specifically. :)

    As far as I see, the date (13th May) on the website now means that if you preorder from now on, the blade would be shipped after that. It doesn't mean a delay for us who ordered before.

    Just checked my order again. (for the 1000th time) and now I have a message in red at the bottom of the screen that wasn't there before

    "This order will be shipped after the release date of 4/25/2016 for The New Razer Blade (512GB)."

    On the line item for the laptop it still says "ships from 25th".

    Guess that's confirmation that it could possibly be a while before these start shipping.

    I was looking at the fact that it said "After" meaning it could be any time after the official release date. I guess, glass half full, that could also mean it could ship on the 25th as well.

    Welp, just received this email. My fury at this moment. I wonder what the hold up is? A real explanation would sure help me not cancel my order right about now.

    Got the same email. Already sent them an email to cancel my order. I need my computer by 10th of May. So pushing it to 18th is really the deal breaker for me.
     
  20. Got the same email. I'm pretty disappointed, but I'm in it for the long haul. I think Razer has earned us giving them the benefit of the doubt; however, I wouldn't complain if we got some sort of bonus for waiting and being loyal customers though *hint hint*
