  1. Yeah. I decided to keep my stealth since world of Warcraft plays fantastically on it and look awesome too(main game I play). Cancelled the blade 14 2016. Going to wait for reviews on core and blade 14 and hopefully see what's up with the new MacBooks. Until then, enjoying the stealth

Nice man, it looks good, one of the main games I play as well.

I'm still hoping to hear something, anything, from Razer. Even if it's hardware issue. Even if it's a late April fools day prank. It'd make me feel better knowing why I was waiting.

Look on the bright side. They're taking that much more time to fix issues. I can wait for a product to be fully ready if it means it will last. I'm in no hurry to buy a laptop (was previously, but things turned in my favor). As long as I can get this thing (or a better laptop, should it arrive) before the school year starts this fall, I'm not gonna be too upset.

If you want a computer, buy whenever it fits you the best. By the time pascal comes out, the new cpu will be just around corner too. Are you gonna keep waiting? Then next gen of GPU is only couple month away. So there isn't no point of waiting. Just buy whatever fits your needs.

The tech cycle is normally just one year. Skylake came out Sep 2015. It's already half way being "outdated". This is why I got upset with Razer. Almost 2 month delay is significant for a tech product. The delay reason could be as simple as that they just want to wait a couple of month so that the parts are cheaper, therefore more profit.

I sometimes feel like I have to get the latest gen or I have to max out the specs. It's just OCD really. I rarely push my computer to its limit and most of the games I play don't require cutting edge hardware anyway.

The CPU side really hasn't seen much performance boost anyways, if you look at benchmarks of 5700hq vs 6700hq, sometimes the Skylake falls short. The only advantage is that Skylake consumes lower power. But the GPU is what really matters in any gaming laptop. I will wait for Pascal for sure now that the Blade is delayed again. I don't really care about Kaby lake though. Not gonna be a significant upgrade.

True. The only solution is egpu.

I also cancelled my blade order and got xps instead. I hope dell can also come up with core equivalent soon. Also hoping that equivalent isn't exclusively for aw.

I'm considering the Aorus myself. eGPU is nice, but I'm just too afraid of compatibility issues and bottlenecking.

I thought Aorus doesn't have Thunderbolt. Compatibility and bottlenecking is likely to be an issue. This is also the vary reason I didn't order blade with the core regardless of the 100$ credit. I generally stay away from 1st gen products.

You're right. The Aorus doesnt have TB3. It is on my list only because it is quite thin. If you want TB3, consider the Acer predator though.

I got xps15 already. Ordered the day I got the delay email and arrived yesterday. Only 960m tho. But good enough for me.

How is the build quality of your dell? I've heard a lot of good things about this particular model, but I still feel iffy about dells. I had two utterly fall apart because they were made so cheaply. I've been afraid to get a Dell since.

The only thing I think needs improvement is the keyboard. The keys could use a little more feedback is all. It's still good enough though. Other than that, it's excellent quality. I have no doubt it'll last many years.

One thing I like a little better than the Razer blade is it's not black aluminum, so there are far far less fingerprints.

Its pretty good. They have good costumer services too. So if anything breaks they will send someone to your door to replace it. I have a alienware desktop. The motherboard broke and they send a technician to my apartment to replace it the next day I called them.

Also if you do a lot of international travel, the warranty is also internationally valid.

So no blue screens or wifi issues? Have you noticed any display latency issues? I will probably be picking one up this week and have been researching some earlier issues that cropped up. It seems like Dell has been pretty good about releasing updates to fix them but I want to make sure I know what to expect.

Even though it has been delayed so much, I have decided to pull the trigger and buy one. I have been waiting to buy one since the first generation, and could never make myself do it, but now as I am heading to college I need a powerfull laptop for engineering, and I could finally make up my mind to buy it.

  17. All we hear are crickets regarding the delay. Thankfully i cancelled my order already.

For those who are considering the xps 15, all i can say is that the build quality is so so, not exceptional like mbp's. The carbon fiber area and keyboard feels a little bit flimsy in my opinion. But that's me of course. It would really help you decide on its build quality by going to best buy or ms store and check it out yourself since quality is subjective.

It's my work computer so i use it a lot. Battery life is decent if you get the 1080p. I can't say anything about the battery life of 4k since dell business account can only order the 1080p version. There are two versions of the dell xps, one is you have 2 hd bays (ssd, hdd) and the other one is ssd only (hhd bay is used to increase batt life). 4k i think is the latter config. Please correct me if i'm wrong.

By the way, there is nothing stopping you from making the payments for you Blade before it is charged.

They generally hold additional funds for about 60 days before they refund it. or you can take that money you were going to pay and save it and make the payment.

No issues at all. I've heard of potential wifi issues but my wife only uses it at home for now, so it's hard to say. Can't say much about the screen latency, sorry. I'm not sensitive to it and all ips screens seem the same to me.
