So I have received a warning point, I have just joined Razer Insider and don't quite understand why I have received the point. Any help?
basically some people spam to try and hit thresholds. It seems kinda silly to want people to discuss things but then punish them for posting, but basically just try to contribute to a conversation as much as possible. You may have said something inappropriate or maybe someone mistakenly thought you were just spamming. Here are the house rules and posting guidelines. Any more questions you can message myself, another moderator, or @Razer|Technokat directly for more clarification.
I've been under the impression that so long as your posts are a reasonable length, contribute to the thread and add decent content to the discussion then you shouldn't receive warning points for number of posts alone. It's just a way to ensure that all members are heeding the Posting Guidelines and the The Razer Insider House Rules and not just spamming one-liners or padding their post count with many, many posts in the same thread answering multiple people in multiple posts just to get up their post count. If you're absolutely certain that you've not accidentally done anything against the rules and your warning point lasts more than a couple hours, then you can try contacting @Razer|Technokat for further explanation and guidance on how to have the point removed in the future.
I messaged Technokat about my recent warning point, and it seems he doesn't give a shit about it, he just ignores me.
He also tends to be very busy and doesn't answer very quickly. I've had messages with him go unanswered for a week or more before I received a response. Sadly, he gets *ALL* the messages these days, we've not really been given an alternative like we had when @Razer|Alentra was still around. Unfortunately, there are some things that only the actual employees can still address. hehehe
Thanks for the Information guys and ill try to get the warning point removed now that I know what to do and not to do. So does that mean we are short on staff here on the forums?
We have a few of us who are moderators, but we're not paid employees for Razer, so there are limits to what we can do and what information we have. There are a few Razer employees that are here, I suspect some like @Razer|Technokat , are even here daily. However, it's virtually impossible for them to read every post on every thread and deal with every little thing that comes up. That's also why we try to stress so much that this is not a support forum, but rather a place for social interaction between fans and friends and a place to discuss topics that we have in common, with Razer being at the top of that list.
I posted a separate thread regarding my issue but it was repetitively deleted and I received these notifications ... at first I thought it was a bot so I changed the title but it was then again removed , I posted in the similar discussions but I was not replied and that's what lead me to creating a new thread for myself Your thread Warning point was deleted. Reason: Thread exists, please do a search before initiating a new one. Your thread Razer Insider Achievement Rewards is not accessible was deleted. Reason: Do not initiate threads specificially for this when discussions exist. Subsequent offence will result in moderator action. My thread post is as follows : Razer Insider Achievement Rewards is not accessible, due to the following reasons: - You have 1 or more warning points Why did I get a warning point ? I do know why warning points are issued , but AFAIK I have not double posted / triple posted / made irrelevant or redundant replies . Hope an administrator or a moderator is willing to help me investigate and help me with my problem , thank you ! @Razer|Technokat can you help ? Much appreciated !
Basically the search feature is your friend. We are all guilty of fmaking new posts when we easily could have just done a little digging to find a previous thread explaining our problem. I think the fact that you ignored the first couple messages and created a bunch of threads that already existed is why you got the point. I have contacted the administrators asking for clarification on the point system so that we can better help you guys. Just waiting to hear back. They'be been insanely busy with all the CES stuff.
I understand that there are threads explaining our problems , however my problem is a different one . In their case they have double posted / triple posted as they did not know they were not supposed to do that . However in my case I knew that and I also know that I have never double posted / triple posted / made irrelevant or redundant replies , yet I have a warning point . Therefore I made the post ... however a moderator or something removed my posts despite me explaining my situation in my post I think you probably missed this part of my comment : I posted in the similar discussions but I was not replied and that's what lead me to creating a new thread for myself Hope you understand why I made those posts ! Also , thank you so much for contacting the administrators for clarification ! That'll really help all the Insider members out there who are facing similar issues and myself out a lot ! I understand they've been busy with the CES stuff , but sometimes when I post in threads regarding my issue (related to point system thread) , a moderator replies the post that was posted before or after mine and did not address my issue ... I'm kind of losing hope in ever removing this warning point that I do not understand why I got it for ...
oooooh you had the point before you started making threads. Yeah no clue, still waiting to here back on clarification about how that whole system works.
as long as you are being respectful, following house rules, posting guidelines, and legitimately contributing to the conversation you should be able to post as much as you want!
LOL...uh.... I wasn't gonna say anything about that..... also I don't actually think that is why. haha
There are a couple of issues with moderators and Razer staff not being here. There are no dedicated moderators who stick around all the time, and can answer your questions. It's a shame, but as @Destrok and @kajira have said, they can only do so much. It was actually only recently anyone became a Community Moderator, and I believe Razer is still trying to work out all the kinks in the system. I don't have any replies in terms of what's going on behind the points that you've all received, I'm just letting you guys know what I think is going on behind them.
