I think a part of the bad reputation comes from fake razer products, because there are many out there that really look like the original ones. However, there quality is much worse and they are going to break fast.

I understand the pricing can be tempting at websites such as eBay and stuff, but exactly for that reason I always purchase directly from the manufacture or authorized retailers. I rather pay a little bit more and have easy of mind.

That's almost like asking me why I hate mushrooms... I think they're disgusting!!!
However, personal preference accounts for all of it.

I love my Razer products. In my opinion they're comfortable, I haven't had any issues, my experience with customer service is fantastic and I'm a big fan of the community and the staff I've had the chance to interact with. I've had just great experiences with Razer that it definitely leaves me feeling like I prefer it over other companies at this point.

For others, I'm sure they've either had not as stellar experiences, or had the same thing with other companies. It's just all about personal preference and what each individual values. (and no accounting for taste. haha)

I have to agree with everything (well almost everything, I actually happen to like mushrooms) that Kajira said, it definitely comes down to personal preferences and values. Much like Kajira's experience, I've had nothing but smooth sailing in regards to my Razer products which is why I have a positive outlook when it comes to the Razer brand. j.i also brings up a very valid point with the fake peripherals, I am certain that many complaints about functionality and products breaking stem from people unknowingly buying copy cat products. Anyways, it's human nature that not everyone will share the same opinion on any given matter, which overall is a good thing because it allows for diversity.

    because they are strange

  12. some people just prefer the other ones because they never tried anything else or just because they want to defend their choice of purchase...
Every brand has it's advantages and disadvantages...
I love the design of Razer products, their durability and their overall usability.
on the other hand Logitech is always available, has products that fit everyone and is overall cheaper.
It all depends on what you like and want... I myself don't get when people bash on other brands just because they don't like them... It is just immature and we should be happy we have such a big market and so many options to choose from.

One bad experience can make people hate razer products just like any other products out there.

There are usually a couple of reasons why you'll get those overly animate haters. I personally don't hate on something unless I've used it and it definitely isn't a good product.

So, most of these people are those who have never used the product and are hating blindly. Some of them are just stubborn and wont even try the product out to actually have a reason to hate it (or not hate it), the rest are those who can't afford it and so its just easier to hate on it. (those are more common) I see that a lot with the higher-end/more expensive brands. For example: Razer, Apple, Bose, etc.

I love letting Apple haters use my Macbook Pro because after about half an hour they start to find reasons why they now prefer it. (Not the OS, the physical machine itself) Another example, this time Razer related. At the office, everyone scoffed at my Blackwidow Ultimate that I brought in. A few people wanted to type on it to see "if it feels any different" and it sure did, and now they want to buy some for themselves. :)

Another reason would be because of a bad experience, which I can respect since there is at least some reasoning behind the decision. But, do consider how many Razer products are being manufactured in a day. There are always some bad apples in the bunch, and some of them will slip past quality control every once in a while. You should always give a brand 2-3 chances before you rule it out.
