    I like this idea of doing the waves, but there also have to be a way to get it to those fans that deserve it the most first. Now how you determine who is the best fan for the product is up to you guys based on what you were saying in your old thread on likes, post, etc.. and that way it locks them in if they want to get the item and if not, then you can move onto someone else you think could use it. I guess you could figure a way to make it so that you can go to those people and say "hey, we got this product we want to know if you want to purchase it early and see what its about". If they got the money and wanna then let them get it if not then go to other people.

    Hi Min.

    I know this is not the place or time to do this, but I really need your attention.

    When I recieved my Nabu order confirmation, it somehow switched the state in my billing and shipping address from New York to Alabama. If you are able to switch the state to New York before it ships to the wrong address I would greatly appreciate it.

    To answer your question, I believe that the whole pre-order system is pretty good. I suggest making more units available (something like 15,000) and shrinking the registration cap (I don't know what the original cap was but it should be made smaller regardless). No matter how many units are made availible, I suggest making the ratio of units available to capped registrations 1:4 or 5.

    I think the idea itself is great, the implementation leaves much to be desired however. There should be requirements for qualifying to be a part of a pre-order. And I'm talking much more selective than "Hey, post once on here, put up a picture on your profile and you're all good!" If you can click fast enough you can get in on the pre-order while people who've been a part of Insider for much longer and are more dedicated to the community have to struggle for access to the same item. Just doesn't sound right... But hey... If that's the select group of fans, that doesn't really make it very "select". This is just my opinion but I feel like many feel the same way.

    I see there's a lot of support for limiting the number of qualified Insiders - it's something we're considering but we're taking a very judicious approach to it. For example, we could cap it to say - only members at 100 posts and above qualify, etc, but again - it could be open to abuse (I'd honestly prefer a fan with 10 well thought out posts as opposed to someone who made 100 random posts to qualify) so it's a fine line that we need to tread.

    Nonetheless, it's definitely something we've been considering internally - keep the feedback coming!

    I love the idea, but I agree the execution is what's frustrating people - existing and new customers alike.

    The time-sensitive registration or purchase cap seems like it creates a massive load on the servers and provides maximum reward to the people who jam the reload button or who just happen to get lucky.

    What about an un-capped pre-registration, with a lottery system funneling out purchase-code emails. For example, send out a thousand emails each hour while stock lasts. Potentially give a small amount of added weight in the lottery to users who have made a previous purchase, say, or who have posted more than once in the forums, etc.

    I'm not a hardcore gamer myself, but I really like innovative hardware and I love everything I know about the company; the Nabu will be my first Razer purchase, and I'm really excited to play with it and, as a programmer, potentially develop for it, down the line.

    I got the "sold out" sign for both rounds so far, and as excited as I am, I can definitely sympathize with the people who feel like the system isn't fair.

    That said, I do recognize that the pre-release is not an entitlement, and I like the idea of it - I just think you may want to think about what characteristics in your users you most want to reward and make sure that the system favors those users, rather than just those with the fastest trigger-finger.

    THIS is what people are forgetting, I think. Despite what improvements can be made to the system, there is no reason to get legitimately angry!

    Oh come on! u cant think this Insider deals are a good strategy, anyone can get in anyway. It's trully sad how u guys manage your launches, there have been poor decisions to launch a product without having a decent amount of items to sell in the first place. You are creating bad experiences for your customers, even the most loyal ones, that by the way, dont get ANY preference with this system anyway.

    Yes, but maybe instead of saying that we need 100 posts to qualify, you can just pick the people who already have the 100 posts, start a conversation offering them a pre-order? That way people won't scramble to reach 100 posts just for the sake of it but the posts would have already been generated by the time of your "selection".

    Maybe there's a way to track this with a ratio of likes received to posts made. This would allow the community to sort out the meaningless posts for you.

    Edit: This would be taking the current like and posts statistics and combining them to get a better idea of how many of those posts are thought out and how many of them are random.

    Thank you for giving the community a chance to make suggestions! It really does mean a lot when a CEO wants to ensure that their fans are satisfied. That being said, I personally thought the insider program was a great idea to give fans the opportunity to not only support, but also reward them for being a loyal follower of Razer.
    My only suggestion would be to do what Apple does with a release of a new product. Just open up the store at a given time to those that have registered/insiders only (maybe have it only available for 24 hours, or something of that nature, where you can still incentivise those with an insider discounted price.), and then sell the units from there. Maybe have the first 5,000 unity ready to ship and once those are gone, let them still order the product, but with varried shipping date/back order.

    Thanks for the feedback - and basically we're trying to avoid having bad experiences. The main reason why I'm posting this is that I'm considering cancelling the third (and future waves) for the Nabu and all future Insider Special Access and just focus on getting products in retail - granted at retail launch sometimes customers need to wait for months to get their products, but it will be at retail price and in more avenues to purchase it.

    I don't feel like you should let the Negative Nancies cancel any future Insider promos. It's a great idea! Like any idea, it just needs some tweaking to run smoothly.

    No matter what happens you will have unhappy people.

    Personally I think you should be more concerned about the number of Nabu units seemingly falling apart and what's going on with QC at the factory! It's very unusual for a Razer product.

    That's actually somewhat what we're already doing with Insider Special Access - i.e. initial 5K batches until we're ramping up to deliver on mass quantities into retail and that's when users will be able to get their products ordered in various locations and with varied shipping dates/back orders.
