Blade 2016 Preorder Shipment Delay

  1. I got this email this morning. The email itself has me a little wary to believe it, but I thought I'd check here to see if it's a legit thing.

    If it is real I have to say I'm pretty disappointed. I preordered within hours of the page going live, and I was really looking forward to having this thing in my hands in the next week or so.
  2. Same. Pre-ordered the morning it was announced and got the same email. Dat's literally 3 more weeks of waiting.

    Same thing here. Looks like a full product delay. What's odd is my order status still says March 31st but the website has all the dates pushed back.

    Got the same email and I only ordered 3 days ago. Looks like a full delay to me. I guess something must have been wrong.
  5. I would think that the delay on the store makes sense. As they get more and more preorders, they have to roll dates back. Dates on our orders is another reason I feel like this email seems sketch.

    nah, id imagine they just havnt updated the orders status page and the delay is real, guess we'll find out soon.

    I would think it's sketchy if we all didn't get the email. But we did... I think it's legit. I've gone through delays with them before and the order status page is not always updated immediately.

    Having flashbacks to the 2014 Blade launch.....

    A three week delay only three days before shipping seems very sketchy. And extremely disappointing if true.

    The e-mail looks a bit sketchy to me just because of the fact that in most cases people from support leave their name at the end, and at least phone numbers and site info.

    @Razer|Technokat could confirm this e-mails legitimacy we could all have peace of mind.

    I do hope that those who ordered there blades will receive them in a timely fashion.

  11. They DID change the ship date on the site to April 26th, but that is still not the April 22nd date that we are all getting in this email. Also when you go to the order status page, it still has from March 31st.

    Do you guys think someone stole all the preorder email addresses and sent us fake delay emails or something?

    That would be a clever way to get pre-orders cancelled so you get your later preorder sooner, but it seems like a lot of trouble to go to...

    I always thought it was odd the blade pre order says from march 31st and the core says ON april 15th.

    Could be considering that this just does not look right to me. But without confirmation from Razer we cant be 100% sure of anything. @Razer|Technokat

    Argh! No new Blade for PAX East!

    Oh well, at least I should have both a new Blade and the Core for PAX West.
  17. The prospect of this happening would be very alarming and would call attention to Razer's security of other personal information i.e Credit/Debit cards info.

    I was only asking jokingly. I seriously doubt that is the case. If someone were smart enough to pull that off, they would be smart enough to make a more legit looking email, one would think.

    Argh! I ordered a 256GB model only because the ship date was March 31st and I had a spare 950 Pro M.2 that I could stick in it if I felt constrained. Anyway, I responded to the email by asking that my order be changed to a 512GB version, no issue with voiding the warranty and all of the machines are delayed anyway. I believe the email is real, especially since a week before shipping, we have yet to see one of these things in the wild and subjected to reviewer testing.
