Hello, recently bought this new huntsman elite and I'm loving it so far. A few questions though, first off, whats the washing procedure for this keyboard? Can I just like put it under the sink and rinse off all the gunk that will build up or since its opto-mechanical is that not allowed? Second, is there a way to keep the RGB on the keyboard on when I turn off my pc or put it to sleep? I mean this thing is really bright and I can't sleep when it's like pitch black so if I could use this as a very dim nightlight that would be pretty cool. And no, I'm not afraid of the dark, I live in the dark, I'm nocturnal, it's just I can't sleep without at least being able to see an outline of the objects around me. Anyway, next question, is having the RGB constantly on rainbow wave gonna wear out the RGBs fast because they are constantly turning on and off? I like the look of the rainbow wave but I feel like it's gonna wear out my RGB lights faster.

    1. Pretty sure the best way to wash it is just to take the keycaps off of it and wash them in water alone, and then clean out the keyboard itself with a cloth, or compressed air or something of the like. I wouldn't recommend putting the whole keyboard in water.

    2. Theres no way to keep the RGB lights on unless your PC is on, unless you can find some other way to plug it into a usb to get power but I wouldn't recommend plugging it right into the wall with a wall adapter, not sure what that will do to it. Only way for it to light up is for your PC to be on.

    3. The led's on newer keyboards have super long lift times and there is no way the led's will give out from the rainbow effect or in general, they keyboard itself is likely to die in another way (switches, damage etc..) before the leds would end up dying out on the keyboard.

    A quick question.

How did you manage to put into 1 link (referring to the signature: "Spoiler: Razer Products Owned")
I'm a bit curios on how did you do it. I have an OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) so I like things being organized.
Please tell me how. I want to make my Signature same as yours. Not identically, just asking on "how".
    Thanks in advance!

Go into your profile, then to your signature, then on the little top bar where you can make stuff bold, etc.. there should be a insert button near the undo and redo buttons, click on that and then click on spoiler in the little menu that comes up. Then you can ender the spoiler name (say, Razer products etc..), and then it should create two Spoiler things in brackets. You put all of the text in that, click done and it should be good.

Definitely don't put it under water, I'm sure you could damage the switches. As @Jenjar said, take the keycaps off (I recommend getting a keycap puller) and using a cloth and some isopropyl to clean the dirt.

I think if you go to your BIOS setting's and turn on the option for USB power while off, the keyboard lights would stay on. They would probably be on 100% brightness, so maybe you could turn it down to your preference using the key combination for light brightness control (while the PC is still off).

No worries about the LED's getting worn out, they have a really long lifespan.
