Is any one else having this problem, just put you finger over one camera and zoom in and see if they switch. A few people are experiencing this problem on other forums. Nothing I do can get the other one to work

Just tried it. Same result as yourself. Is it software related? Have you talking to Razer Mobile Support yet?

Both my cameras work but the right lense camera won't focus correctly so pictures when zoom out is always out of focused. The left camera which works when u zoom in works fine.

So, I thought mine didn't work. Zoom ALL the way in and try to cover just the LEFT lens. If your finger covers it then it works. Zoom ALL the way out and cover just the RIGHT lens. If it covers then it works. Mine was just loading slow.

Actually, from the reviews I've been seeing on youtube and the messages I've been reading on Insiders it seems that this maybe software related. While everything I've seen praised the long battery life, the eye popping screen, and the remarkable speakers. They've all seem to be down on the HDR camera. Although, I've noticed that these same people have heaped praise on the regular camera. I would just sit tight and wait until Razer can come up with an update since I'm positive that they've seen messages on Insiders about this.

  7. Same here. I couldn't get the left lens to work. I'm gonna stop by the Microsoft store tomorrow and see if the display model has a working camera.

Funny enough the Snapchat app the camera won't zoom so maybe the camera isn't even on?

    What do you guys think?

Tested with Snapchat and at first no zoom then zoom. There is a update for the Razer Camera app btw.

Still not working. What's everyone's app version. Mines 1.3.111

  10. Thanks for the info. I updated it and it zooms now also but only using the right camera. I read somewhere on Droid life I think? It's only using one camera

If I force stop the app. It makes the second camera work, but only for a little bit. So I'm thinking it's a software issue

It has to be. Until we get the software update we will have to ride on that or you just exchange it.

    Hello all,

Thanks for your concern about the camera, but this is actually operating as intended. Of course, we didn't build a dual camera system to be used with one lens covered, and focused on an image fusion solution. Because of this, when you do cover the lens, or when there isn't enough light to operate well, the wide-angle camera will operate instead.

I was gonna say, one camera is wide angle and one is telephoto. Each has their purpose. Or perhaps I'm missing the point of covering one up.. Mine still isn't here yet so I'm guessing :)

Nothing I do will make the wide angle work. Even covered the lens, the left one never comes back

I did tests with color filters and there is definitely some processing going on as a blue filtered telephoto will fade in and out, but it would be nice just to take straight shots with typical manual camera controls.

If you zoom in really slowly, you'll be able to see it transition better. It's designed to be a seamless transition so you shouldn't really notice. Also, there will be more updates as stated by Razer to make the camera even better, with special mention of a portrait mode.

I believe it's the software. I was messing around with it and found if I pinch to zoom in all the way, it stays on one camera. Whereas if I would tap the on-screen zoom button and then proceed to pinch the rest of the way to zoom in, then it it would use the other camera...
