...or is it going to be exclusive for Windows? I am inquiring because Synapse 2.0 is currently incomptatible with the current MacOS High Sierra Beta.

I love my Razer mouse, and I need to know if ill be able to use it with the release of High Sierra whether it is with Synapse 2 or 3.

Here we go again. :) You should have seen all the vitriol aimed at Razer when Sierra was in Beta (why did Apple go from specific spots in California to generic names? We went from Mavericks (the surf spot) to Yosemite (the national park) to El Capitan (the rock formation IN Yosemite) to ... Sierra, then High Sierra ... ). I'm not saying that you're complaining, but people were up in arms about Synapse not working with the Beta.

I'm not a Razer spokesperson, but I remember very well the position that they took. "Razer does not support beta versions of operating systems." Your best bet, as is the case with any OS upgrades, is to wait until you know that all of the software and hardware (or at least the majority of it) that you're going to need is compatible with the new OS.

The other thing that you'll need to consider is that currently there are only three devices that are supported by Syanpse 3 Beta right now. There has been talk that they are going to be rolling out support for older gear in Synapse 3, but not everything at once. I think that Razer's priority will be to get Synapse 3 working with as many pieces of gear that they can on Windows before they REALLY start concentrating on making sure it works fully with Mac OS.

I'm sure at some point it will be available, but probably not right away with the gear that's currently available for use with Synapse 2 and Sierra. It would be dumb of them to say 3 won't ever be available for High Sierra, because it will make a lot of Razer/Mac users mad.

When High Sierra comes out, if you want to keep using your mouse, don't upgrade your OS - not until Razer announces a compatible Synapse version, whether it's Synapse 2 or 3. We just have to wait and see how their Mac developers go.
