    Hi guys,

Razer Insider is growing at a pretty quick rate, and as we welcome more users to join in the discussions here, I thought that I should put this out here again with regards to posting on Razer Insider. I hope to, at the same time, address the particular "1 post contribution" to be a qualified member on Razer Insider to purchase the Razer Nabu.

We get that there are some users who prefer to 'lurk', or that fandom may be shown in many ways but a singular post count in theory isn't a high barrier of entry to qualify for the Razer Nabu registration - we like to keep things simple, and at the same time encourage on the basic level our fans to get started on interacting with each other.

That said, if an individual cannot be bothered to do up a single post that adds to a conversation for example, a fluff post such as "Here is one post for the Razer Nabu" or initiates a careless thread like "I want Nabu" - then we should probably consider if this individual should qualify for a chance on Razer Insider to purchase a Razer Nabu at a Razer Insider exclusive price.

These posts dilute the quality of conversations here and affect the overall Insider experience, again, technically shouldn't happen since all we are asking is a single message that compliments existing conversations.

To get everyone started and/or if you are new to discussion channels like these, go to our Community Readme to find our House Rules, and our posting guidelines.

Here are some threads that can help you get started:

Do feel free to reach out to me or our Team if you have any particular issues with these. Thanks and have fun!

Thank you, I know this has gotten to be more and more of an issue lately (happens when the pre-registration comes out I know). Hopefully we can stop discussing matters such as this and get back to why to the reason we are all here, to discuss Razer, or Gaming in general, or other shared interest, as opposed to attacking, or defending such inane postings. Thanks again.

I have an idea that might be able to stem the flow a bit, when account activation is complete you could redirect new users to the introductions thread. I think more likely than not they would post in there to say Hi and get that 1 post required while contributing to the thread. 2 Birds 1 Stone in my head. Now how difficult this would be to achieve that I do not know, but food for thought.

@wackowacko maybe better would be to encourage new people to join a conversation and pointing them at few threads instead of just "Go here, say hi, and you good". Because what`s the point then? If that`s a way to bring new people to forum i don`t think it would have any positive impact. It would be just another obstacle on the way to getting nabu in their way of thinking.

I think what razer is trying to do here is not only bring new people but show them that forums can be fun and interesting to anybody especially community forums such as this. But on the other hand not everyone who follows Razer is their fan that would want to participate in such a thing, they just want the stuff.

I was confused about how many people still have no clue how forums work. It`s 2015. yes i know not everyone participated in forums but we all used them right?

Thanks for posting this @Razer|Technokat ! And yeah some pretty good ideas here. This along with having a Nabu sub-forum is really helping keeping things more organized.

I agree with the posts above. I am certainly guilty of doing a bump-and-run post to "qualify" for the opportunity at a chance to get a Nabu. I endeavor to be a contributing member, but honestly this may be one of my first attempts at posting to a message board like this. The symbols-for me, a newbie are hard to decifer. I'm a bit overwhelmed, but willing to learn. My suggestion is much like terrortimes'.

This is awesome to know, as most other forums are plagued with this kinda of problem. Glad to know its been sorted before its become too big of a problem. Thanks for being awesome Razer :)

That's definitely a problem with any starting community, but especially one with an incentive, thanks to a new (cheap/exploitable/whatever) product.

Usually it regulates itself...and it definitely will once the sign-ups are over. We'll see, though.

i would imagine it be close to impossible for moderators to actually catch all slacky posts just to qualify for the Nabu. All in all it is up to the responsibility of the people to post proper comments.

  13. I appreciate the mods to the forums, as I am a new member. The excitement from CES2015 is still very much fresh; visiting the Razer booth only intensified that! I hope I can be a contributing member of the community and keep up to date with the latest news!

I must admit that I am new to thes forums (I really just came for the preorder) but with the requirements of adding posts they have really gotten me to sift through the forums to learn a lot more about their products and community that I am sure that I would not have done otherwise. I am trying but hopefully not too annoyingly ;)
