I think they are using the time to polish the heists mode for the already released versions. Frankly, I'm a little pissed. PC development is easy, considering that mostly all games are developed for a computer and then downgraded, but mostly because I ordered SLI 970'S to play GTAV in 4K only to have it be delayed. #firstworldproblems

I voted yes because it is a good thing. It gives them extra time to get a mac version done.

Can't wait to see what the mod scene comes up with though.

lol its already been deleyed a year and a half from release. and they are charging you full console price to boot. 60 bucks for a game thats a year and a half old get real, maybe 30.

They now got more time to correct some mistakes. If there are no problems and/or some kind of extra content, then it has been worth it.

GTA V on PC, you can play with 60 FPS, 4K, the graphics are better ! ;) But you need a very strong PC... :)

I'm hoping the game is well optimized. Max Payne 3 was really well done, GTA IV not as much.

I'm fine with the delay, as long as it comes out being the best they can possibly make it. I will be really disappointed if its just a bad port like gta 4. Mod support is a must.

considering all of the awful game releases last year, i definitely agree that the game should be delayed so we get the best final product for our money ( still wont be preordering it though :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: )
  9. well remember when it first came out on 360 and ps4? so many problems...
we all know the most powerful machine is....PC!!
to maximize the game takes time
so im sure its worth the wait!

Delays or not there will be bugs for months. Welcome to the future.

I have waited so long for this game. I can't wait anymore, but I think it is a good idea they delayed it. Since they said they did it to polish it and remove bugs. I hate for it to come out with so many bugs like most of AAA games these days. Anyway I think whatever they do the game will be amazing. I don't like to pre-order games, but as soon as they started the pre-order on steam I jumped right in and got myself a copy :D

Yes definitely. We all saw what happened to AC: Unity and I think a lot of companies actually learned from that. We've seen the witcher 3 delayed as well for bot stomping according to the developers. You can't go wrong with a decision like that.

I think i'd much rather it be delayed and be perfect upon release rather than rockstar releasing something that's not complete, and then messing around trying to 'patch' it up. Never actually owned a copy of GTA V, just messed around on flatmates consoles, so i don't mind paying £39 to pre-order something that's been out for almost a year and a half. To be fair to rockstar, they did a great job when they released the 'next gen' versions as they gave people who already owned the game an incentive to buy it again, so i think that they're trying to do the same again for when they release the PC version and for that to happen, it needs to be perfect. Take all the time that you want rockstar, give us your best game so far!!

To the people who favoured the delay for a more polished game, I can only say that on release day if there are ground breaking bugs, well.. i'll just grab my popcorn.
I honestly think that the entire PC game industry is in dumps right now, companies can't seem to release something that is at least major bug free.

I definitely think that the longer they hold it off for fixes the better. I've been waiting for this for ages, but I'm prepared to wait longer for a better experience. Also I have more time to get the funds for the game.

I know a lot of people have been anxiously waiting for it's pc release. And that waiting must of course be rewarded. We will expect a finally decent game for pc. I don't even want to refer to AC: Unity and everything that was wrong with that in the name of coding. So, they will have had a good reason to push back its release. Because patches are a lot more irritating later on. Or they just push it back, so they can already assure themselves of a decent turnout with just the preorders which have heigthened due to their announcement.
  17. It's a bit of both worlds. It's good that they're refining the PC version before release and everything, but its crewl to get everybody all hyped for the "27th of Janurary" release after delaying it once before that anyway. I've actually pre-ordered it myself, mainly because of the 65GB install and being able to pre-load it, reading the spec requirements it does seem I just about qualify... Barely. So I'm happy they are moving it forward, but I'm also very angry about it too.

I hate the fact that I have to a longer time to be able to play but game being delayed is always a good because it means that they are making sure that the works fine. Instead of trying to meet deadlines they care more about whether the game works properly or not.

I have no problem with the delay as long as the game is polished...More developer should have the balls to do it that way... When I see how many games have those big day 1 patches just because the publisher want to push the release date

I think they had some major problems with porting from next gen and, of course, they cannot say it. A delay announced that late scares me, really.
