    Hello Everyone,

I just ordered the RBS 8th gen to replace an outdated AIO of mine. I plan on purchasing an eGPU with a mid-grade GPU (probably GTX 1060) and wanted to know if anyone has experience using the HP OMEN Accelerator with their RBS. Does this eGPU work well, or is it worth the extra money (at this point double the cost) to purchase the Core V2?

I don't do much heavy gaming (civ 5, sims 4, cities skylines, etc.), and mostly need the eGPU for graphic design as certain projects I've found to lag when using just the integrated graphics.

Any recommendations would be great! Thanks!

In theory, it should work with any system with Thunderbolt 3, though the degree of support may depend on whether the system’s UEFI has been updated to play nice with external GPU

I think it’ll work Razer has good relationships with HP, last time on IFA Berlin, they are introducing the accelerator right in front of Razer Bus;)
Edit: just saw on egpu subreddit, someone with HP notebook (spectre x360) said that there’s incompatibility issues with EU spectre (EU version) and the enclosure, and firmware update even isn’t cleared yet. So it might be also an issue for other brands, even their own laptop has that issue, so go for other options or get Razer Core v2 for better compatibility.
